Eliot's home was transformed into a gallery as Brenda Maser and Lorena Mendoza presented information of featured artists at Maser Galleries. Included were some of the works of Hessam, Sam Park, Pino, Burton Morris, Thomas Arvid and many more.

I loved hosting the art event at our house. What was amazing was when Brenda and Lorena showed up with all the art work, our living room and dining room became an art gallery instantly, it was great! It was so much fun to have my friends over, and to be able to look at the art, talk about it and sip on some wine at the same time.

I think having this kind of event in a home makes the art much more accessible and you feel very comfortable asking questions. All my friends enjoyed the evening and said they had learned something new.

While the Vintage Grand Prix cars showed their stuff on Walnut Street July 14, 2008, Maser Galleries participated by displaying its collection of automotive art. Featured were Jonathan Leaser's "Speedracer" paintings, LeRoy Neiman's "Grand Prix d'Endurance" as well as prints of Myron Cope who was instrumental in founding the Vintage Grand Prix in Pittsburgh 25 years ago.

Quitting a job with IBM after 3 days, he wandered around looking for something else he could do with his life and love as much as baseball. After answering an ad in the paper offering "unlimited opportunity", a representative for Jack Solomon of Circle Fine Arts hired Lefty to run his Pittsburgh galleries. They talked ball and within the hour, Jack's rep tossed Lefty the keys and drove off to Chicago. After learning the trade, Lefty opened his first gallery in 1970 at Seven Springs Resort. That is the story of how Maser Galleries began.
